The Community Foundation for Muskegon County and their affliates in Oceana and Mason Counties, are pleased to announce our online grant application process. Beginning in Fall 2007, the Community Foundations in Mason, Muskegon and Oceana will no longer accept paper grant applications and will instead convert to an online (Internet) based grant application. The new online grant application process is titled Community Investment.

The Community Investment process will enable your organization to:

  • Apply for grants online. This is a brand new feature that will offer greater efficiencies to your organization. In addition, foundation staff will be able to easily share your information with donors who may be interested in your project.
  • Track and report your grant performance to the foundation.
  • Create an agency wishlist (called an Investment Opportunity) that will be shared with donors and friends of the foundation.

The Community Investment process has four steps:

1.  Contact the Community Foundation to express interest in this new process and to receive a login and password for your organization.  This login and password will enable your organization to set up an Agency Profile.

2.   Set up the Agency Profile.  Agency Profiles and their corresponding "Investment Opportunities" will be shared with donors and friends of the foundation from time to time throughout the year.

3.  After the agency profile has been established, the organization will be able to apply for grants from the Foundation.  To receive the application, the organization will need to contact the foundation and discuss their project each time they wish to apply.

4.  Organization fills out and submits the grant application.  Foundation staff will be in touch with all organizations that submit grant applications.

For registration information or questions, please contact Marcy Joy in Muskegon County at (231) 332-4124, Tammy Carey in Oceana County at (231) 861-8335 and Mike Oakes in Mason County at (231) 845-0326.
